About Us
Scientific Health & Agriculture Development Company (SHADCO) was established and registered at the Jordanian Ministry of Trade & Industry under No. 5587 on the 11th of September 1999, as a fully Jordanian owned company specialized in the agricultural and public health sectors in general, and specifically crop protection pesticides and insecticides for public health in the Iraqi market. The main activity of the company is distributing both Bayer CropScience and Bayer SAS/ENVU products which are the leading companies in the world in public health insecticides & crop protection pesticides.
SHADCO has 8 staff members of whom 4 of them are agronomists, who follow up technical aspects, conduct field trials and select the best products that are both innovative and beneficial for the Iraqi market.
SHADCO, in cooperation with the companies it represents, also concentrates on the technical aspects including products, pest and disease. To this effect, SHADCO has organized scientific seminars for both the Iraqi Ministry of Health and the Iraqi Ministry of Agriculture, as well as various technical workshops in which different technical aspects have been discussed that are of importance to both ministries and to the local market and officials in general. These seminars have been carried out in various countries like Jordan and Turkey.
SHADCO started dealing with Iraq since its establishment and was exemplary in its commitments with the ministry; by providing the best insecticides from Bayer, abiding by the exact delivery dates and adhering to all tender aspects, focusing on the technical in light of its importance. Our vision, as well as that of Bayer’s, for the Iraqi market is a strategic one, and we are adamant to delivering insecticides that are available from Bayer which have a proven record of efficacy worldwide and at the same time are safe to the environment. We are proud to say that the Iraqi market is the first market in the Middle East in which new insecticides from Bayer have been introduced to help achieve the ultimate benefits.
SHADCO has moved its head office to Al Zarka Free Zone/ Jordan and has been registered there in order to facilitate the importation of these insecticides from the various countries that Bayer delivers from, and to supply these products to the Iraqi market in a timely and efficient manner, whether by land, air or sea freight, whilst keeping our management offices in Amman-Jordan. We carry on doing this with utmost professionalism and efficiency.
